The Hands Behind the Gift

Every Modern Gift Co box is built from pieces by Australian artisans, independent brands, and small-batch makers. Some are handmade in studios across the country. Others are designed here by Australian founders, then made carefully to their specifications.

What they all share: a real person, a real story, and a commitment to design that lasts longer than a season — not generic supermarket stock, not Amazon-tier filler.

When you send one of our boxes, you're not just gifting an object. You're gifting the work of independent Australian brands and the makers behind them.

Meet the people we work with.

One Six Eight London Contemporary timepieces, designed for modern homes.

A design studio with a singular focus: clocks that anchor a wall or shelf rather than blend in. Clean lines, considered proportions, and a quiet kind of statement piece.

We feature them for: sculptural wall clocks and mantle pieces — the kind of object that earns permanent display in a new home or office.

Meet The Rabbit Hole Founded in 2010 by tea lovers Corinne Smith and Amara Jarratt, The Rabbit Hole began as a small Australian family business with a big idea — that tea should be anything but ordinary. In 2023, sisters Kru and Em Welch stepped in to lead the next chapter, carrying the original spirit forward with fresh energy and the same unwavering commitment to quality.

Today, every blend is still made by hand in Australia, using world-class teas and premium ingredients — chunks of freeze-dried Tasmanian fruit, shards of coconut, native Australian bush foods. Real ingredients you can see in the tin. Real flavour you can taste in the cup.

Heart Therapeutics is the work of Misha Moran — a qualified naturopath, trained chef, and passionate advocate for sustainability and self-care. Based in Noosa, Queensland, Misha set out to create something the wellness industry was missing: organic tea blends that weren't just beautifully packaged, but actually formulated to do something. Each blend is built on naturopathic principles, designed around specific therapeutic herbs, and intended to be drunk as a ritual — a permission slip to slow down and check in.
